Coffee Prices Fall Back After 1-1/2 Week Rally

May arabica coffee (KCK26) is down -0.60 (-0.20%), and May ICE robusta coffee (RMK26) is down -82 (-2.17%).

NY arabica coffee prices today are lower on some long liquidation pressure after the rally seen over the past 1-1/2 weeks.  That rally was sparked mainly by the Iran war, which has closed the Strait of Hormuz and caused global shipping problems.  The closure of the waterway has increased global shipping rates, insurance, and fuel costs, and raises costs for coffee importers and roasters.
