Coffee prices Friday settled higher on signs of smaller global supplies. Short covering in coffee future emerged Friday after the Honduran Coffee Institute reported that coffee exports from Honduras, Central America's biggest coffee-producing nation, fell -11% y/y in July to 610,669 bags, and Oct-Jul coffee exports are down -11% y/y to 5.6 million bags. Also, coffee exports from Costa Rica from Oct-Jul are down -4.8% y/y at 820,283 bags.
