Coffee Falls on Dollar Strength

Ice Brazil USDA Vietnam the International Coffee Organization Volcafe

March arabica coffee (KCH25) Thursday closed down -8.90 (-2.68%), and January ICE robusta coffee (RMF25) closed down -90 (-1.75%).

Coffee prices retreated Thursday, with robusta coffee falling to a 1-1/2 week low.  Thursday's rally in the dollar index (DXY00) to a 2-year high was negative for most commodity prices, including coffee.
