Cody Gakpo is one of five players sent home from the Netherlands squad after a virus has been making its way through the camp, and the cause may now have been found.
The Dutch FA confirmed the release of Gakpo alongside Sven Botman, Matthijs de Ligt, Bart Verbruggen and Joey Veerman are the other players removed from the squad.
It has now been reported that there is a 'strong belief' that a chicken curry served on Wednesday night is reason for the five players being sent home ill.

The Netherlands begin their Euro 2024 qualifying campaign on Friday when they take on World Cup finalists France before going against Gibraltar on Monday.
Telegraaf journalist Mike Verweij reported: "In and around the Dutch National Team there is strong belief that the chicken curry - served yesterday evening by the staff - is the reason why De Ligt, Botman, Gakpo, Veerman and Verbruggen got ill and had to leave."
