COD Mobile reveals The Boys crossover, with Homelander and more skins expected to arrive

Call of Duty: Mobile is stepping into the world of superheroes, though not the traditional kind. Activision has officially confirmed a crossover with The Boys, bringing the hit Amazon series into CODM as part of its upcoming Season 5 update.

While Activision hasn’t shared full details just yet, past Call of Duty crossovers strongly hint at what’s coming. Based on previous collaborations with the series, Homelander is expected to headline the newest collab as an operator skin.

COD Mobile Season 5 is projected to launch in late May or early June 2026, and the announcement has already drawn some hype from players eager to see how the franchise adapts The Boys’ satirical take on superheroes into its mobile shooter.

The timing of the announcement also lines up with the hype surrounding The Boys Season 5, the season finale, which is set to premiere on Wednesday, April 8.

What to expect from the CODM x The Boys crossover

If earlier collabs are anything to go by, this crossover will likely go beyond just skins. Players can probably expect themed operator bundles, weapon blueprints, and possibly even limited-time modes inspired by The Boys universe.

Call of Duty previously teamed up with the franchise during Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.0 Season 4 Reloaded in July 2023. That event introduced operators like Homelander, Starlight, and Black Noir, along with some standout gameplay twists.

One of the biggest highlights was the Supe’d Up mode, which gave players temporary powers similar to Compound V abilities. These included laser vision, electric shock attacks, and boosted movement through super jumps. The event also featured Temp V power-ups and cosmetic effects like cartoon-style blood splatters to display the show’s dark humor.

The crossover continued in Modern Warfare 3, bringing in additional operators such as A-Train and Firecracker, while earlier skins returned to the in-game store. There was also the Supe Siege event, where players picked sides between The Boys and The Seven to complete challenges and unlock rewards like weapon blueprints, calling cards, and emblems.

A similar setup wouldn’t be surprising in CODM, given the game’s seasonal structure and focus on limited-time content. While nothing has been confirmed beyond the collaboration itself, Homelander and his crew are widely expected to take center stage once the event goes live. Fans are also hoping to see Billy Butcher join the roster.

Late last year, COD Mobile celebrated its sixth anniversary with a crossover featuring Street Fighter 6. The event brought iconic fighters Ryu, Chun-Li, Akuma, Luke, and Cammy into the game, alongside themed weapon blueprints and a range of cosmetic items.
