Cocoa Prices Settle Mixed as the Dollar Rebounds

March ICE NY cocoa (CCH24) on Thursday closed -24 (-0.56%), and Mar ICE London cocoa #7 (CAH24) closed +9 (+0.25%).

Cocoa prices on Thursday gave up early gains and settled mixed, with NY cocoa falling to a 1-1/2 week low.   Cocoa prices Thursday initially opened higher on signs of smaller cocoa output in the Ivory Coast after the Ivory Coast government reported Ivory Coast farmers shipped 744,967 MT of cocoa to ports from October 1-December 24, down -36% from the same time last year.  The Ivory Coast is the world's largest cocoa producer.
