Cocoa Prices Pressured by Rain in West Africa

December ICE NY cocoa (CCZ24) today is down -121 (-1.56%). September ICE London cocoa #7 (CAU24) is down -98 (-1.73%).

Cocoa prices today are moderately lower as forecasts for rain in West Africa improve the region's cocoa crop prospects. Forecaster Maxar Technologies said that current rain in West Africa is expected to continue through the weekend, boosting soil moisture levels and cocoa yields.
