Cocoa Prices Mixed on Dollar Strength

Dec ICE NY cocoa (CCZ23) on Wednesday closed -7 (-0.18%), and Dec ICE London cocoa #7 (CAZ23) closed +19 (+0.54%).

Cocoa prices on Wednesday settled mixed. Strength in the dollar Wednesday (DXY00) weighed on NY cocoa prices. However, losses were muted on signs of smaller cocoa output in the Ivory Coast after Ivory Coast government data Wednesday showed Ivory Coast farmers shipped 348,560 MT of cocoa to ports from October 1-November 12, down -25.3% from the same time last year. The Ivory Coast is the world's largest cocoa producer.
