Cocoa Prices Fall on Favorable Weather in West Africa

May ICE NY cocoa (CCK26) on Monday closed down -10 (-0.32%), and May ICE London cocoa #7 (CAK26) closed down -12 (-0.51%).

Cocoa prices settled lower on Monday after heavy rains over the weekend in West Africa bolstered the outlook for cocoa crops in the Ivory Coast and Ghana. Cocoa prices were also knocked lower on Monday from a stronger dollar after the dollar index ($DXY) rallied to a 10.5-month high.
