Cocoa Prices Fall as Supply Concerns Ease

July ICE NY cocoa (CCN24) today is down -68 (-0.93%), and July ICE London cocoa #7 (CAN24) is down -133 (-2.17%).

Cocoa prices today extended their month-long slide to 2-1/2 month lows and have fallen by more than -44% from last month's record highs. Deliveries for the expired May London cocoa contract came in at 53,100 MT. While that was lower than the 67,350 MT during the same period last year, it shows that European cocoa supplies may not be as tight as earlier feared.
