Tennis star Coco Gauff is set to make her Olympic debut as Team USA's female flagbearer at the upcoming Paris Games. The 20-year-old champion has been selected to lead the American delegation during the Parade of Nations at the opening ceremony on July 26. This prestigious honor marks Coco as the first tennis player to hold the title of flagbearer and also the youngest individual in Olympic history to be bestowed with this responsibility.
Joining Coco as the male flagbearer will be three-time Olympic medalist LeBron James, who was appointed to the role on July 22. LeBron's selection makes him the first male basketball player to serve as a flagbearer for Team USA.
