Coca Cola has responded to customers worried that Coke Zero will be discontinued in the UK.
Fans of Coke Zero were shocked when rumour spread online that their beloved zero-calorie drink would be discontinued in the UK. In a Facebook post yesterday, online fashion shop boohoo.com added fuel to the fire, saying: "BREAKING - Coke Zero is being discontinued in the UK" followed by a heartbreak emoji.
The rumours received a mixed reaction from the public, with some distraught that they will be losing "the best" soft drink, and others wholeheartedly supporting the rumoured discontinuation plans. One woman posted "Fully fuming. Coke Zero is the best! I'm starting a petition".

Another said similarly: "No. Why. We know the world is in an awful state but please leave Coke Zero!"
Yet, not everyone felt the same. The rumours filled one woman with glee, who said: "Good, byeeeee. Coke Zero is grim"- an attitude echoed by many others, such as one man who said: "Good … full coke all the way."
After receiving over 20,000 comments from a mix of worried fans and delighted haters, boohoo.com took to Twitter to clarify things. They appealed directly to Coke, saying: "Okay [Coca Cola], we need answers ASAP.
"Please tell us the rumours about Coke Zero being discontinued aren't true".
The multinational beverage giant finally responded to the rumours that had been tearing their fans apart.
They replied, saying: "Don't worry, Coke Zero is here to stay!"
The news came as nothing short of a blessing to one woman, who reacted by saying, in full caps lock: "THANK YOU COKE JESUS."
Another was more composed, replying with a simple: "Thank the lord."
