Coby White says he won’t play ‘what-if game’ after Bulls Play-In loss

The Chicago Bulls‘ season ended in defeat this past year, as they were eliminated in the Play-In Tournament by the Miami Heat. The loss was made worse by the fact that Miami proceeded to make a run to the NBA Finals, leaving many Bulls fans wondering what would have happened had they won their game against the Heat.

But while it’s fun to wonder about hypotheticals, the team cannot afford to live in the past. Bulls guard Coby White recently appeared on Youtube’s “Scoop B Selects” with host Brandon “Scoop B” Robinson, and he spoke about this exact mindset moving forward.

He said that it’s important for Chicago to not play the “what-if game” and instead focus on pushing forward in hopes of improving next year.

“I try not to play the ‘what-if’ game,” White told Robinson. “I try to stay in the current and stay in the present. I’m looking forward to this season; so like you said on paper, we have a lot of talent and you can blame it on injuries and you can blame it on all different types of things but, if you got five guys out there ready to play you know, I think that we can produce. We’re all excited for this new season coming up.”

Chicago made a bunch of moves in hopes of improving this summer, including re-signing White on a new three-year deal.

Now, they’ll head into next year in hopes of avenging their Play-In loss and advancing further into the postseason.
