The Seattle Seahawks are clearly focusing on rebuilding their secondary back to a fearsome, hyperphysical force. It’s partly why they opted to draft cornerback Devon Witherspoon at No. 5 overall instead of defensive tackle Jalen Carter.
One of Seattle’s top rookie standouts from last season, defensive back Coby Bryant, is certainly trying to bring the boom back. He had a huge hit (which was flagged) in the first quarter, but it brought the juice to the 12’s.
After the game, Bryant discussed his play, all while wearing a classic Legion of Boom t-shirt.
Coby Bryant, rocking a Legion of Boom T-shirt, said of his big hit: “Just playing fast, being physical.” The second-year DB was Seattle’s primary nickelback last year and is competing there with top pick Devon Witherspoon. He’s also working at safety, where he stated tonight. pic.twitter.com/rmBkuuptIZ
