Motorists are warned to plan ahead as a Coatbridge road will be closed for nine-and-a-half hours every Monday to Friday for the next five months.
Merkland Road will be affected by weekday closures to “facilitate operations during adjacent property renovations”.
The work is being carried out by A.C. Whyte & Co. Ltd on behalf of North Lanarkshire Council’s housing team.
The road is shut, from Gartcloss Road to 35m westwards, between 7.30am and 5pm on Monday to Friday until January 31.
Diversions for motorists are Lomond Road and Gartloss Road, while there will be “no impact” to the operational bus service and the road is open at weekends.
