A young woman from Coatbridge has been devastated after her twin sister died following a terminal cancer diagnosis discovered after they were involved in a car crash.
Nicola Valbonesi and Kerry Horne both suffered severe whiplash when a vehicle slammed into the one they were travelling in.
But as Nicola started to recover, Kerry’s condition deteriorated and the mum-of-three was referred to hospital, where tests revealed the tumour that killed her aged just 35, the Daily Record reports.
