UK Government to pay back Scottish Government over evacuations forced by mines

THE UK Government will pay back residents, the Scottish Government, and the local council to cover any cash spent following evacuations caused by land movement in Clackmannanshire.

Historic coal mining has been confirmed as the cause of the ground movement, meaning the UK Government will also by law have to fund the cost of making residents' homes safe.
