Coachella fans go wild for Blink-182 reunion after 10 year hiatus and cancer battles

Coachella fans have gone wild for Blink-182's reunion almost ten years after the trio last performed together.

On the first day of the popular music festival, the band played a 50-minute set after being confirmed as an act just the day before.

The performance was the first of the band’s comeback tour, which was postponed after drummer Travis Barker suffered repeated injuries to his finger.

Festival goers watched the band play some of their most popular hits including Feeling This, What’s My Age Again?, The Rock Show, I Miss You, All The Small Things and other hits, alongside their new single Edging.

Fans were excited to see the trio back together again, with many taking to social media to talk about the concert.

One person tweeted: "Just watched the blink-182 set at coachella and i'm so glad you're back Tom."

"Blink-182 absolutely killed it at Coachella! Just watched their whole set and it was PERFECTION! #Blink182," another said.

A third wrote: "Getting emotional watching the @blink182 Coachella set is what Saturday mornings are for, right? No but seriously this band messes up your head coz im here getting emotional because they are back together again meanwhile they are singing 'Family Reunion'."

Another commented: "The fact that blink performed at Coachella and it was an amazing set brought me joy!," with another adding: "An absolutely incredible experience watching these three back on stage together."

It comes after bassist Mark Hoppus told fans he was 'cancer free' after being diagnosed with lymphoma i April 2021.

In September Mark revealed that he was undergoing chemotherapy treatment which proved successful.

Tom DeLonge has also endured health battles during the band's hiatus.

Last year, Tom told fans he got the all clear after being diagnosed with skin cancer.

He revealed at the time of his diagnoses that he was undergoing laser treatment.

He tried to make light of the situation by writing: "When you’ve had skin cancer like I have, a little normal spot on your face must be lasered off using some Advanced Military Weaponry.

"They also make sure you look like a f**cking creep while waiting to be numb for the procedure. The laser was approved by the FDA, and so was making the patient look like they had sex with a box of whipping cream."
