Shoppers have been left in awe after one Co-op customer revealed how she managed to get a huge saving on her food bill. Taking to popular Facebook group, Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK, Sian Jennings shared screenshots of her latest groceries shop, which showed a whopping £70 off her £86 charge - meaning she only had to pay around £17 for everything.
She said that she was able to bag the discount thanks to a promo code. She explained: "Co-op online deal! SAVE25, It seems to only work with certain products but my little girl is CMPA (cow's milk protein allergy) so 5L of soya milk worked in this deal too.
"Minimum spend £15 but max amount of items is 30 due to high demand I just hope I have enough freezer space." Her post included two screengrabs of her order and the receipt.

The first listed several frozen goods that she purchased batches off - including five £1.50 Alpro Soya milks, five £3.95 Magnum ice creams, five £2.75 Birds Eye chicken Nuggets, five £2.40 Goodfella's garlic bread, five £2.30 McCain wedges and five £4.45 Goodfella's cheese pizzas.
The second was of her receipt, which read: "Our store team will get your order ready. We will email you again when your order is packed and let you know if you have any substitute products." In total, all the items came to £86.75, but thanks to the code, she was able to shave off £70.94.
Along with a 99p delivery charge and 20p spent on carrier bags, Sian's total order came to £17. Several commented to say they had tried the code out themselves and succeeded. Victoria Dorrell said: "Just picked mine up £15.26." Lauren HW added: "My order came this morning, thanks!"
Zoé Wellings put: "Thank you.....just had mine delivered." Kelly Richens said: "Got mine today!" Jemma Neish typed: "Mine has just been delivered! Great deal." Carol Norton penned: "Fab!! Ordered for collection later! What a bargain. Thank you xxx."
In response to one concerned shopper who said: "How are people getting loads off? Mine only takes off around £13?" A fellow user wrote: "You need to add one of each of the £6 deal to get a big chunk off. But you can add the £6 deal up to 6 times."
The code was also highlighted on HotDealsUK. A user wrote: "Basically you get five freezer meal deals (currently on offer for £6 per meal deal - so £30 worth) and £6.50 of goods for just over £15. Free collection to store or delivery from 99p.
- "Add 5 lots of 5 of freezer items to basket (so 5 meal deals - (25 items in total))
- Then add £6.50 of items e.g. Regina kitchen towel x 2
- Then go to checkout and apply code SAVE25
- Net total should be £15.26 including bag charge (and a substitution charge of £1.53 that will be refunded)
- Can collect for free or get it delivered from 99p"
Please note Co-op online is available only in selected areas.
