Shoppers have accused the Co-op of 'daylight robbery' over the 'ridiculous' price of toilet roll. Taking to social media, one customer slammed the supermarket after spotting the nine-roll pack Cushelle on shelves for £9.25.
Sharing a picture of the item to a money-saving Facebook group, she wrote: "How on earth is this justified?! Surely no one is paying this price?"
Several other took to the comments section to share their own outrage, with many saying that they have noticed the price of loo roll skyrocketing in other stores. As reported by Manchester Evening News, one member said: "I know you need a good toilet paper, but to buy this they must have more money than sense."
