A Co Fermanagh woman is set to take part in an epic cycle challenge which takes her across the island of Cuba.
Abigail Parkinson from Kesh, who competed as a finalist in Miss Northern Ireland, is to take on the 350km challenge in November and has raised thousands of pounds already for Northern Ireland Hospice.
Her challenge was postponed for the last two years due to the Covid 19 pandemic but now Abigail is ready to hit the pedals.

Despite having limited cycling experience, the 25-year-old said she’s ready for the challenge.
“I am cycling 350km across the island of Cuba from Trinidad to Havana,” Abigail said.
“I am definitely not a cyclist so regardless of how much training I am able to squeeze in, it will be a huge challenge.
“I was able to get out training on the road a good few days over the nice weather and have gone to spin class inbetween to work on my stamina and get used to the saddle.
“I’ve raised just over £4,000 and would love to keep adding to this right up until the end of the cycle.”
Abigail praised the work done by the NI Hospice as she prepares for her final few weeks training.
“The hospice does such incredible work and through promotional activities previously I have got to know different people who work with the hospice and the work they do across the children's and adult hospice,” she added.
“They have helped so many people here so I am so happy to be able to fundraise for them in this way and raise awareness of their work.”
