A family firm in Newtownabbey has said it was "an honour to be asked" to design a luxury box for a 15kg gold coin commissioned for the Queen's Platinum Jubilee.

Ian Hawthorne from Hawthorne Fine Boxes received the commission from the Royal Mint in September last year.

It was for a box capable of housing and showing off the largest coin the Mint has ever produced.
