Objecting to the alleged unparliamentary language used by Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy during a public meeting, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has attributed it to the growing frustration in the ruling party on its inability to deliver governance to the public.
Addressing the media here on Saturday, party’s State spokesperson G. Bhanuprakash Reddy said the party’s growing intolerance was quite palpable in its caustic remarks against the Opposition parties, media as well as the public. “The ruling party is bent on arresting the opposition leaders, muzzling the media, curtailing the people’s voice and social media, because it clearly knows it is on the wrong path,” he said.
He also presented to the media a mannequin with a wig, in response to the ‘hair’ comment made by the Chief Minister. “There are issues more serious than hair and wig, which the government has clearly failed to address. But, it seems reluctant to learn any lessons”, Mr. Bhanuprakash Reddy observed.
The party leader demanded that the state government come out with details on utilisation of the funds sanctioned by the Centre. “If the Chief Minister has reservations in meeting the Opposition parties and the media, it can at least release a White Paper,” he added.
