CM Ashok Gehlot unable to provide enough electricity to farmers, says BJP

JAIPUR: BJP state vice-president Madhoram Chaudhary alleged that chief minister Ashok Gehlot is not able to provide electricity in the rural areas on time leading to loss of agriculture.

In a presser held at BJP headquarters on Sunday, he said Gehlot has failed to provide any relief to farmers. “It is the central government which is providing relief of all kinds—financial, logistical and technical — to farmers which are helping them in earning their livelihood,” said Chaudhary. He argued that the central government’s flagship scheme Kisan Samman Nidhi gave a breather to farmers by providing financial assistance to them while the state with frequent power cuts is eating away the savings of farmers.

Taking on Gehlot, BJP state president Satish Poonia said in order to divert attention from Karauli violence, Gehlot has been continuously levelling false allegations against Prime Minister Narendra Modi, home minister Amit Shah and party national president JP Nadda for law and order failure in the state.

“It has become Gehlot’s habit to make false allegations against the central government and the BJP central leadership to divert attention from the failures of his government in a bid to please the Gandhi family in Delhi. The deteriorating law and order situation under the Congress regime, increasing atrocities on Dalits, Adivasis and women, continuous leaking papers, pending recruitments, issue of unemployed youths,” said Poonia.
