Clydebank star returns with 'bigger and better' plans for this year's Halloween event

Halloween has crept up once again and the supernatural evening is just a week away.

With times this year tougher than ever, Clydebank actor Oli Kennan is set to put on the biggest and best of his Halloween spectacles yet.

The 26-year-old spends all year organising a special Halloween event in his own garden and has told Glasgow Live some spooky details about this year's theme.

Oli told Glasgow Live: "We love organising the event every year and have done for a long time but it really took off in 2018.

"That was when we went with a Pennywise theme and a video of the event ended up going viral, I think it got over 21 million views. Since then it's just exploded really, so many people come along to see what we come up with."

Years past have seen Oli decorate his Linnvale home in fitting themes such as Beetlejuice and The Shining and promises an even bigger event this year.

Oli said: "We're doing Hocus Pocus this year and we've really put so much work into it. We've got over 1000 LED lights, loads of hay bales and I've lost count of how many pumpkins we have.

"The whole thing is totally free for anyone and everyone to come along and enjoy. Families can come and enjoy the display and we'll have people dressed up playing characters that people can take pictures with.

"We know how tough it is for everyone this year and we felt a real push to go further this year because of that, we really just love doing it for the community - families who otherwise couldn't afford to take their kids out can come along and enjoy Halloween for free, and we have hundreds of bags of sweets to give out."

Oli has received messages from people all over Scotland who will be travelling to see the spectacle, from the borders all the way up to the Highlands.

He said: "It's really just a night of good fun and a laugh for everyone and we can't wait to see everyone again this year."
