Clydebank grandad and Iraq war veteran heading to Invictus Games after near-death experience

A grandad from Clydebank is set to compete at the Invictus Games in The Hague as part of a team of wounded, injured and sick military personnel and veterans.

Mark Clougherty, a Royal Military Policeman in the Iraq War, was diagnosed with PTSD after a near-death experience.

The 49-year-old will be representing Team UK in Athletics, Cycling and Rowing after originally being selected in October 2019 before the pandemic hit.
