A couple have transformed what was once a bike repair shop in the west end into a cosy and stylish hair salon which they run with help from their furry friends, Labrador Asla and toy poodle Harris.
Colin Nicolson ditched his job as a park ranger while his partner Neil Kinnon, 28, walked away from being a senior hair stylist, working for someone else so that the duo could open Tiny House Hair Salon, on Shakespeare Street.
They transformed the former bike shop into a salon that reflects the 1950s to 1960s era with its chic style including bookshelves and homage to Glasgow dotted across the room.

Tiny House Hair Salon - which offers services including foils, extensions and blow dry's - opened on Valentine's Day and customers have fallen in love with the new business and their dogs.
Colin, 38, who lives in Clydebank, told Glasgow Live: "We’re in a unique part of the west end which is out of the money area but still within the west end in a nice corner.
"It’s a unique building because it’s so small. Internally, we’ve created a living room-esque feel.
"We are trying to put out a local Glasgow theme because we feel like that’s important because anyone can open up a hair salon but we wanted to aesthetically keep it very much in connection with the area and look very Glasgow tenement-esque which is quite cool.
"We’ve had a mix of Neil’s previous customers and new customers which has been fab. The first thing everybody says is that they feel so chilled.
"It’s a nice, calm and relaxing environment with nice music and candles on. It’s very much a neighbourhood relationship building salon and that’s what we are trying to go for."
Customers are advised to book appointments with stylist Neil but walk-ins are allowed on some occasions.
Colin added: "We’ve had over 60 customers through the door and they love it. It’s going down very well with the locals.
"One gave us such nice feedback about the location and business, about us and the dogs too. She gave a card and said it was great to see something new but unique flourish in this part of the west end.
"We’re not looking for commercial expansion beyond belief just now. We want to be community based and we want people to come in and enjoy the experience.
"We are running five to six days a week but not any specific days purely because we are flowing with the customer base until we get another stylist in then we can work it out."
Tiny House Hair Salon is open from 10am to 6pm.
