Clueless star Alicia Silverstone's iconic takedown for trolls who body-shamed her

Clueless star Alicia Silverstone has hit back at cruel trolls who fat-shamed her.

The 45-year-old who starred as popular high school student Cher Horowitz in the iconic 1995 comedy, created a TikTok video that calls out the image and its body-shaming message.

The picture, which is of Alicia out and about in a gorgeous navy blue slip dress, included the words "candid" and "fat" in the description.

But Alicia refused to be affected, and instead came up with the best response - a middle finger which was accompanied by a big cheesy grin.

She captioned her video: "Damn, I think I look good."

In the background, US singer Gayle’s empowering anthem "ABCDEFU" can be heard playing - the perfect song to support how Alicia feels about others passing judgement about her body.

Fans rushed to support her in the comments, as one person, who quoted a famous line from the film said: "As if!!" with a yellow heart emoji.

Another wrote: "DON'T LET THE HATERS GET TO YOU, YOU'RE BEAUTIFUL."

A third commented: "If that's what they call fat, I'm in!"

Someone else wrote: "It's the perfect candid photo, what are they talking about?!?"

This isn't the first time Alicia has had to deal with harsh comments about her weight as previously she replied to a TikTok video that calls out those who body-shamed her following the release of her 1997 movie, Batman & Robin.

TikTok user @foreversymone posted the clip captioned, "Justice for Batgirl," as she looked at a particularly harsh article that focuses on Alicia's weight, and refers to her as "Babe the Pig" and "Fat girl."

"Y'all have her f**ked up," says the TikTok user, bringing up a photo of the article.

"The headline literally reads 'A Weighty Issue' and in this article, they compare her to Babe the Pig, all for having a full-figured face. They were obsessed with her weight... All she did was breathe!"

"As a fat woman who grew up obsessed with Clueless , who grew up obsessed with this movie that is pure camp, it just makes me very frustrated to know that… she couldn't have been more than 130 [pounds] and they were straight-up ripping on her constantly over this."

Alicia duetted the video and can be heard saying "Excuse me?!", "Yes" and "I love you!" in response.
