The clocks are set to change in the UK this weekend.
In the UK, the clocks go forward 1 hour at 1am on the last Sunday in March, and back 1 hour at 2am on the last Sunday in October.
The period when the clocks are 1 hour ahead is called British Summer Time (BST). There’s more daylight in the evenings and less in the mornings (sometimes called Daylight Saving Time).

When the clocks go back, the UK is on Greenwich Mean Time (GMT).
When exactly will they change?
The clocks will go forward by one hour at 1am on Sunday, March 27, 2022.
They will then go back by an hour at 2am on Sunday, October 30, 2022.
Why do the clocks change?
The idea of changing clocks came from William Willett in 1907, as he suggested the public could make the most of working in the daylight hours during the summer.
The clocks first changed in 1916.
