Fans of Lance Reddick have paid tribute to the late actor on social media, following the news of his death.
The actor passed away aged 60 at his Los Angeles home, on March 17. His reps confirmed the news to Variety.
His fans took to social media to share their favourite clips of Lance in remembrance, including his work on The Wire to his appearances on talk shows.
One clip in particular that was widely shared was Lance appearing on The Eric Andre Show.
In the 2013 video, Lance was being interviewed by Eric, when he became frustrated and ended up slamming his fist onto Eric’s desk, scaring him.
He told the talk show host: “you need a new desk”, before walking away and leaving Eric looking horrified.
Years later, he revealed that the incident was a planned one.
Eric had reportedly asked Lance to “get p**** off and walk away”, but wasn’t expecting him to slam his fist on his table.
Taking to twitter, one fan wrote: “RIP Lance Reddick. One of my favourite actors and the only person to ever scare Eric Andre. Always gave the performance of his life in anything he was in from John Wick to The Wire to Fringe. He will be dearly missed.”
Another twitter user said: “Rest in peace to Lance Reddick an incredible actor with an amazing body of work. He lent his amazing and unique voice, both literally and artistically, to many different projects and characters over his career, but I will always remember him for having my favourite Eric Andre bit.”
A third said: “Lance Reddick was an immensely talented actor who elevated everything he was involved with, but I wanna remember him for his greatest accomplishment: making Eric Andre flinch.”
Fans also paid tribute to his other acting performances, including his well-known stint as Cedrick Daniels in The Wire, from 2002 until 2008, and his role as Charon in the John Wick films.
One twitter user chimed: “Rest In Peace Lance Reddick we lost a talented soul From John Wick to the Wire he made every project he was in better.”
Another said: “Lance Reddick is the kind of actor that improved every single project just by being there. This loss is immeasurable. May he rest in peace.”
Lance will feature in John Wick: Chapter 4, which is set to be released next week.
