A man has been charged with murder after a fatal car crash in southern Queensland earlier this week.
Police allege 36-year-old Clinton Gordon Sutcliffe deliberately rammed another vehicle at least twice from behind causing it to roll onto its side on Tara-Kogan Road at Kogan near Dalby.
The incident happened about 2am on Tuesday, May 30.
South west police district officer Gary Watts said a 22-year-old Goranba man, a 20-year-old woman and a 2-year-old boy were injured in the crash.
"The vehicle had sustained quite some damage," Detective Chief Inspector Watts said.
The 22-year-old was flown to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in a critical condition.
"Tragically he passed away from those injuries last night," Inspector Watts said.
The 20-year-old woman remains in the Princess Alexandra Hospital, while the child is being treated in the Tara Hospital.
Mr Sutcliffe was originally charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing grievous bodily harm.
That charge was mentioned briefly in the Dalby Magistrates Court on Wednesday, and Mr Sutcliffe was remanded in custody.
Police upgraded that charge to one count of murder and two counts of attempted murder on Thursday morning.
The new charges are due to be heard in court today.
Inspector Watts said the two adults in the car and Mr Sutcliffe were allegedly known to each other.
Police have appealed for anyone who may have witnessed the crash, or who has CCTV or dashcam footage to contact them.
