Clifton neighbours' love for life on their 'peaceful' street

Neighbours on a quiet residential street in Clifton have said they love where they live, with one describing it as "peaceful". Leverton Green is a street that can be found a couple of turns off A453 Remembrance Way.

There are a number of houses and flats on the street, some with off-street parking. It's quite a tight street, with space for around 10 cars to park at the top of the cul-de-sac.

Trees line the top end of the street, and there's even some green space in front of some of the houses at the top end near the parking. And residents living on the street have explained why they love where they live.

Dean Johnson, 57, said: "It's really peaceful, I've got no complaints at all living around here. I've not heard of any anti-social behaviour or anything like that.

"I've been here for around two years or so, and all that time I've never had problems. People say hello and are usually friendly."

Brian Thomas, 61, said: "Normally it's okay around here, I haven't seen anything go off recently. Sometimes you hear a bit of shouting, but usually it's nothing.

"Everyone normally keeps themselves to themselves. But when you do see people out on the street, they're normally really friendly."

Shannon Murphy, 43, said: "I've lived here all my life and I've never noticed any problems. People know each other, and I've never had any issues at all."

One resident did get in touch with Nottinghamshire Live to say there had been incidents of anti-social behaviour on the street, that things have been thrown at them. Other residents all said they had not noticed any anti-social behaviour on the street in recent months.
