Potentially the cutest member of Edinburgh’s South West Police Division has been celebrated online for hunting down two criminals after a late night chase.
Police dog Elsa, who seems to be a German Shepherd, was responding with her handlers to a report of a male trying doors in the Dreghorn area of the capital. The incidents were understood to have taken place at around 01:00am on the morning of Monday October 10.
The committed crime fighting canine was able to find the culprit who was hiding in a nearby garden with an accomplice. Elsa was also able to sniff out the tools they were using as well.

The adorable four legged law enforcer posed for a picture and deserves all the treats and rubs available for her solid work.
On the post on Twitter, the South West Police Divison said: “If you go down to the woods today, don't expect to hide from top Police Dog Elsa who sniffed out a man trying doors in Dreghorn at 1am this morning and hiding nearby, his tools and his pal hiding in a nearby garden.
“Ruff night in cells for them.”
It appears as though no crook is safe from the furry force member when she is out on pawtrol.
