Clemson running back Will Shipley announced his intention to declare for the 2024 NFL draft on Wednesday via his social media accounts.
Shipley opened his letter by thanking Clemson, where he spent the last three seasons playing.
“I have decided to enter my name into the 2024 NFL draft,” he wrote. “I am grateful for the last three years and am excited to see what the future holds! Although I am taking the next step of my journey, I will always be a Clemson Tiger!”

The junior’s news comes after he appeared to injure his leg during Friday’s Gator Bowl vs. Kentucky. He was taken off the field in the fourth quarter after a 60-yard kickoff return. An MRI after the game showed no structural damage.
In his junior season, Shipley carried the ball 167 times for 827 yards and five touchdowns. He also caught the ball 31 times for 244 yards and two touchdowns.
His standout season came in 2022, though, as he totaled 1,182 rushing yards and 15 touchdowns on 210 carries.
