The cornerback class in the 2024 NFL Draft just got even deeper after it was announced that Clemson defensive back Nate Wiggins will forgo his senior season and enter the draft.
Wiggins has been very productive over his last two seasons with the Tigers, punctuated by a breakout junior season where he was responsible for eight pass breakups as well as two interceptions.
There is little doubt that Wiggins sits in the first-round discussion as one of the best cornerbacks in this class; his height/weight/speed combination is among the best in the country. Wiggins has all the physical talent to be a number one corner in the league and could launch himself up draft boards through the pre-draft process.
The league is always looking for tall and speedy corners, and Wiggins absolutely fits the mold as the modern prototypical defensive back. Look for Wiggins to hear his name called at the top end of the first round this April as he looks to bring a boost to whichever secondary he lands on.
