Clémence Poésy and Emily Beecham have been announced as the latest additions to the cast of the upcoming eleventh-century period drama 'King & Conqueror.' The series, a collaboration between BBC and CBS Studios, is based on the historical figures Harold of Wessex and William of Normandy.
The lead roles will be portrayed by James Norton, known for his work in 'Happy Valley,' as Harold, and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau from 'Game of Thrones' as William. Emily Beecham, recognized for her role in '1899,' will play Harold's wife, Edith Swan-neck, while Clémence Poésy, famous for her performance in 'In Bruges,' will take on the role of William's wife, Matilda.
