Classmates didn't recognise Prince George on a 'trial day' at a new school being sampled by Kate Middleton and Prince William.
The royal couple are considering sending Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis to a school near Windsor, reports in the Daily Mail claim.
But Prince George's teachers were said to be 'amused' and also pleased fellow pupils did not realise he was the future king.
Other members of the royal family have attended Marlborough College where Kate attended or Ludgrove School where William attended.
Speaking to OK! Magazine previously, royal commentator Duncan Larcombe said putting members of the Royal family into separate schools was standard practice for royal parents.
But that tradition was broken when William and Harry attended Wetherby Preparatory School and Eton College, Larcombe claimed.
He said: "William and Harry broke the mould by going to the same school, but if you look at the Queen's children, they were all schooled separately.
"And, of course, William and Harry wouldn't have gone to the same school if one of them was a girl.
"Kate had a traditional co-ed education but it seems to be almost par for the course with the royals that they don't pile all of their children into the same school."
Prince George has reportedly been to the school around a dozen times.
The future king began his formal education began at the age of two at Westacre Montessori School Nursery near the family's home Anmer Hall.
He was later enrolled at Thomas’s School in Battersea, South London.
But the latest 'trial of the establishment was said to be a relief by staff at the school, who didn't want the prince to receive any special treatment from other pupils.
Teachers at the school were reportedly "amused and relieved" others in the class did not recognise him or understand his status.
Earlier this month, The Mirror told how fans of the royals were taken by surprise when Prince George and Princess Charlotte made an appearance at Prince Philip's memorial service.
It was known well in advance that their parents the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge would be attending - but there had been no word their two oldest children would be there until just before the event.
It is the most high-profile royal event by far that the two youngsters have attended with William and Kate keen to give them and younger brother Prince Louis as normal an upbringing as possible.
Body language expert Judi James told OK: "You could tell from the way George copied his father totally that there had been some rehearsals and training behind the scenes.”
This means that their public appearances have so far been few and far between.
However, now they are getting older, there have been signs both youngsters - and especially future king Prince George - are now being primed for royal life.
