The No. 3 recruit in Kentucky has officially named Georgia among his top nine schools in his recruitment. Edge rusher Javeon Campbell named the Dawgs alongside Florida, Alabama, Auburn, Miami, Ohio State, Notre Dame, LSU and Kentucky among his top schools.
Campbell is a 6-foot-5, 260 pound defensive lineman from Western Hills High School in Franklin, Kentucky. He has a background playing basketball prior to the 2023 season, which was his first playing high school football. He adjusted quickly, racking up 14 1/2 sacks in his debut. He is a versatile athlete, and he is expected to be able to line up either on the edge or inside along the defensive line.
Campbell is a three-star prospect. The talented edge rusher is No. 430 overall in the class of 2025, per 247Sports.

Georgia offered Campbell on March 16, and he has planned an official visit to Athens for June 21, 2024. According to On3, the Dawgs are among the three favorites to land him: Ohio State and Kentucky are the others. Those are three of the four schools he has scheduled visits to. Alabama is the fourth.
