BG Pathum United host Port in Thai League 1 on Wednesday in a clash of title contenders.
Both have played only three games, two fewer than the other teams.
Big-spending Port have seven points, while Pathum, last season's runners-up, have four.
Bangkok United and Ratchaburi are joint leaders on 13 points.
BG started the season with one loss and one draw before securing their first win with a 1-0 victory over Lamphun on Friday.
Pathum coach Makoto Teguramori said he hopes his men seal back-to-back wins.
"I have told my players that it was a hard-fought win against Lamphun and we were lucky to beat them," the Japanese said.
"I have seen Port play and they have a good attacking game. It will be another tough game but we are looking forward to it."
Pathum's strike force is likely to be led by Teerasil Dangda and Ikhsan Fandi, with Diogo Luis Santo on the bench.
Their midfield will be marshalled by Sarach Yooyen.
Port coach Scott Cooper said: "BG are a good and strong team so we must stay focused throughout the game. We hope to get at least a point."
Port's attack will be led by new signing Hamilton Soares, who scored a goal in the team's 4-1 win over Khon Kaen at the weekend.
The Brazilian striker scored 19 league goals for Nongbua in his first season in Thai League 1 before joining Port during the close season.
Pathum have beaten Port seven times in their previous 10 meetings in the top flight.
