Jeremy Clarkson has delighted fans by appearing to confirm that his show Clarkson's Farm will return for a third series.
On Twitter last night, the Top Gear star shared a cryptic three-word statement about the future of the show.
Following the backlash of his column in The Sun where he made controversial comments about Meghan Markle, many called for the programme to be cancelled.
Fans were eager for news about another season of the popular Amazon Prime series after season two concluded on Friday (February 10).
The latest episodes focused on Clarkson's battle against West Oxfordshire District Council's complaints as he fought to diversify his Chipping Norton farm and rear cows to sell in a farm restaurant.
Recent reports suggest Amazon were planning on ending projects with Clarkson however on Monday night, one fan tweeted him, saying: "I loved it watched it on Saturday that just passed, loved the show can't wait for a season 3 if there is one."
And Clarkson replied: "There is one."
And fans were over the moon and shared their excitement on social media.
One wrote: "Glad to here it! If Amazon tries to cancel you, I’m canceling Amazon. What you are doing is one of the most entertaining shows out there. It is also important to our civilization. People have forgotten what it takes to put food on the table and the importance of farmers/ranchers."
Another added: "Best programme on tv."
While one penned: "Awesome, great show. I love the serious messages and awareness the show tries to highlight through the humour. We've had farm shops, Roll on farm cooperatives and farm restaurants."
While another commented: "Best news I’ve heard in a LONG time! I have learned so much from Clarkson’s Farm. I was never appreciative of or properly thankful for the work and sacrifice that goes into my daily bread. I am now. Thank you."
