Nigel Farage's announcement that he will contest a by-election in Clacton-on-Sea has drawn a largely supportive response from local voters, despite one resident suggesting they were "fed up with all this politics".
The Reform UK leader declared his intention to stand down as the constituency's MP to fight the contest, characterising it as a battle of "people versus the establishment".
