CK Power Plc, one of the region’s largest producers of renewables-based electricity, has approved a dividend payout of 0.08 per share, 128.6% higher than that of the previous year.
On April 26, CK Power held the 2022 Annual General Meeting of Shareholders electronically (E-AGM) under strict COVID-19 prevention measures to inform its shareholders of the company’s operating results, dividend payment, and future business directions.
Thanawat Trivisvavet, managing director, said that the meeting resolved to approve the dividend payment from the operating results of the year 2021 at the rate of 0.08 baht per share from the net profit based on the separate financial statements, amounting to approximately 650.4 million baht. The payout increased by 128.6% compared to the rate of 0.035 baht per share of the previous year. Eligible shareholders listed on the record date of May 6 will be entitled to the dividends, which will be paid out on May 20.
The record-high dividend payout ratio for the year 2021 is in line with CK Power’s all-time-high operating results in the year 2021, in which it posted 9.33 billion baht in total revenue and 2.18 billion baht in net profit based on the consolidated financial statements, a 438% increase from the previous year, equivalent to a net profit of 0.268 baht per share.
The net profit based on the separate financial statements amounted to 871.5 million baht, a 40% year-on-year increase, equivalent to 0.107 baht of profit per share. CK Power recorded 68.97 billion baht in total assets, 32.85 billion baht in total liabilities, and 36.13 billion baht in total shareholders’ equity, with a net interest-bearing debt to total shareholders’ equity ratio of 0.65, which is considered very low, and return on equity of 9.0%.
