Delhi's Connaught Place is on alert on Friday, October 16, as the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) has announced a 'Lehra Do Tiranga' protest at Central Park. The gathering is expected to begin at 5 pm, while traffic restrictions in and around Connaught Place may start from 3 pm. The Delhi Traffic Police has warned of possible congestion and diversions on 21 roads and stretches across central Delhi. The New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) has also announced that Central Park will remain closed to the public on October 16 and 17. Commuters heading to New Delhi Railway Station, office-goers, shoppers and people travelling through Connaught Place should plan their journeys in advance. The restrictions may change depending on the situation on the ground.
