Interim Melbourne City coach Dario Vidosic has warned his side to take the threat of A-League Women newcomers Western United seriously as the sides prepare to meet for the first time.
City face United at AAMI Park on Saturday with both teams - the only sides yet to drop a point this season - putting their undefeated starts on the line.
City, who have scored a league-high 12 goals this season, have enjoyed plenty of success at AAMI Park, winning their last five regular-season ALW games at the ground.
But in the shape of Western United they face their first real test of the season.
"They're the new kids on the block and in their first season they have started well," Vidosic said.
"They're full of confidence and it's their first time at AAMI Park, before the (City-Victory A-League Men) derby.
"We played them in a friendly game earlier in the pre-season.
"We're looking forward to that challenge and it's another game that we want to win.
"We will plan accordingly and target them; we know what their strengths and weaknesses are.
"If we keep going with the way we play and train with our effort and intensity, we give ourselves a great chance of winning. We want to play with our style and entertain."
City's early season showing is all the more impressive considering captain Emma Checker is still not fully fit, while New Zealand international Hannah Wilkinson and seven-cap Matildas defender Karly Roestbakken remain out with injury.
Vidosic said Checker is closer to being able to start games after cameos off the bench in the last fortnight, while confirming Wilkinson and Roestbakken are not far behind.
"We had an internal session for them to get through and they pulled through OK with that," Vidosic said.
"They're getting closer and closer to getting the medical green-light.
"Checker went through good in her 45 minutes (against Newcastle Jets last weekend) and we'll keep building her up as well.
"It's looking good where everyone is available. It's a good headache for me to have."
