Melbourne City will have no time to lick their wounds after losing their A-League Men opener, with a trip to Thailand then Adelaide on the cards.
Rado Vidosic's charges suffered a 2-1 defeat to local rivals Western United on Saturday evening.
They will fly to Thailand on Sunday for Wednesday night's Asian Champions League clash with Buriram United, then head directly to face Adelaide United away in the ALM on Sunday.
"You dream to be in the Champions League and then you can't complain when you get the draw," Vidosic said.
"But yeah, we fly to Thailand tomorrow then from Bangkok after the game, we fly to Sydney, from Sydney to Adelaide. We don't get home til probably the following Monday.
"So it's a good opportunity to bond as a team, to spend time together.
"... We're going to manage to put some training in place for (two days before the game) and then (the day before the game), we are training at the venue.
"Then after that we fly to Adelaide and there's another tough trip and a traditionally tough spot for us to play. So it doesn't get easier."
City, who had a massive squad turnover over the off-season, will hope to take a step towards reaching the ACL knockouts.
"I would prefer to have 10 days off and to get more work into players but it is what it is," Vidosic said.
"We are in the Champions League, we are the only Australian team in the Champions League.
"We have four points after two games. So this is very important for us. If we can get something out of the game in Thailand, it may be a good campaign for us."
Socceroos attacker Mathew Leckie is "still a little bit away" after missing the season opener with a knee injury, but the rest of the squad will travel.
"I can't tell you exactly when he's going to be OK to join us but he's working and when he's ready, he will join us," Vidosic said.
"But saying that he hasn't played now for six weeks.
"It won't be like he's gonna walk in and start and play 90 minutes and we'll see the old Leckie - it won't happen like that."
