Parliament Street will be traffic free for three days a week for the rest of the summer.
Cars will be banned from the street from 6.30pm to 11pm every Thursday, Friday and Saturday until the end of August. This new phase of the pedestrianisation trail starts tomorrow.
Parliament Street is the latest in Dublin City Council's move to make the city more bike and pedestrian friendly. Capel Street, which is connected to Parliament Street by Grattan Bridge, was pedestrianised in May and it has been largely viewed as a success with the exception of some business owners.
