A small fire in the communal area of a Liverpool city centre hotel resulted in a mass call-out from Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service.
The Heeton Concept Hotel on James Street had to be evacuated after the fire broke out at around 7.18pm today, February 11.
Four fire engines and an aerial platform arrived at 7.24pm - by which time the small blaze was extinguished.

A Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: "It was a small toaster fire in a communal area on the first floor. The fire was out on arrival. There were no persons involved and no fire spread."
He explained that the response was standard for all calls to high-rise buildings due to the risk of serious fires.
