The UK economy could already be in recession – we’ll find out tomorrow

The City will find out tomorrow the UK tipped into recession in the fourth quarter, after the economy’s long drawn out struggle to make any convincing progress. 

Economic data for December, due out on Thursday 15 February, will complete the monthly picture for the fourth quarter and reveal whether or not the value of all the goods and services produced in the period fell.
