Cineworld announces all film tickets will cost just £3 this weekend

Cineworld has announced that all tickets will cost just £3 this Saturday as part of the cinema chain's inaugural 'Cineworld Day'.

On February 26, people across the UK will be able to head to their nearest Cineworld location and watch a film for the reduced price.

Among the films showing at Cineworld cinemas in Glasgow this weekend are Death on the Nile, Uncharted, Cyrano, Sing 2, Jackass Forever, and Belfast.

In a statement, Cineworld said: "We’re excited to announce the very first Cineworld Day, sponsored by Pepsi Max! On Saturday, February 26, all tickets will be just £3* for all films, all day, at all of our cinemas – and that includes our special formats.

"You heard that right! You will be able to immerse yourself in epic IMAX, feel part of the action with 4DX extreme cinema, surround yourself with 270-degrees of ScreenX or discover our huge Superscreen with Dolby Atmos sound – all for just £3 per ticket, only on Cineworld Day.

"Whether you were at your local Cineworld just yesterday or haven’t been back in a little while, come celebrate the cinema experience and share your love of film with your friends and family.

"From action-packed blockbusters, to awards-nominated dramas, to feel-good fun for the whole family – there is plenty to see on Cineworld Day!"

The promotion applies to all films in 2D, 3D, IMAX, 4DX, Superscreen and ScreenX in all Cineworld cinemas on Saturday 26th February 2022.

As part of the first Cineworld Day, which is meant to be a celebration of the UK's love for cinema, there will also be a limited-time offer for customers to get 50% of the first month of an Unlimited membership with the chain or 10% off an annual membership — using the code BATMAN50 for the former and BATMAN10 for the latter.

Vice president of Film for Cineworld Group Stuart Crane said: "The last two years have been especially difficult for the cinema industry, but with the huge crowds returning through our doors for movies like Spider-Man: No Way Home and with so many exciting movies to look forward to in 2022 - like The Batman, Morbius, Top Gun: Maverick, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, and Jurassic World: Dominion - we wanted to celebrate everything that people love about cinema and everything that there is to look forward to at Cineworld.”
