The Carolina Panthers still don’t have more than one win here in 2023, but they finally have a critically-acclaimed performance.
After yesterday’s productive outing against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, running back Chuba Hubbard has been named a nominee for the FedEx Ground Player of the Week.
Hubbard notched all kinds of bests in the 21-18 loss, including a career-high 25 rushing attempts. He turned those opportunities into 104 yards, his most of the campaign, and a pair of touchdowns.
His output made him the first 100-yard rusher on the season for the Panthers. He also became just the second player to tally 100 rushing yards against the Buccaneers in 2023.
Hubbard faces some stiff competition in Arizona’s James Conner (25 carries, 105 yards, two touchdowns) and Tennessee’s Derrick Henry (21 carries, 102 yards, two touchdowns).
The voting for this week’s honors is open until Wednesday at 3:00 p.m. ET. You can cast your vote on NFL.com/FedEx or through the NFL’s official Twitter account.
